indiebound

I discovered another great book site today — Indiebound.org.  I love Barnes and Noble.  I love Amazon.  But there’s something about independent bookstores that you just can’t get with either of them.  Indiebound is an online community that helps you locate local indie bookstores or buy online from them.  Besides being generally cool places to visit, local independent bookstores offer certain advantages: an opportunity to support the community, more environmentally friendly shopping options, the chance to buy and sell used books, and the possibility of becoming a familiar face.

So check out Indiebound, set up a profile, make a wish list, and add me as a friend — as always, you’ll find me at bookhopping.
