this week

I finished Wintergirls about 36 hours after getting my hands on it.  I’m still trying to piece together my thoughts on it, but I plan to post a review tomorrow.  For now, I’ll  just say that although it didn’t replace Speak as my favorite book by Anderson, it definitely lived up to my expectations.

I haven’t jumped back into any of the other in-progress books yet; I’m looking forward to getting back into both American Rust and Jellicoe Road this week.  In the meantime, I’ve been listening to Jane Green’s Babyville.    I’m almost done, but this is one book I’m not planning to do a thorough review on.  I enjoy Green’s work, but her tone, as well as her strengths and weaknesses, are pretty consistent from one book to another  — any write-up I were to do on Babyville would be incredibly similar to my last mention  of one of her books.
