book army

I discovered another new reading related web site today — BookArmy.com. I haven’t spent a lot of time on it yet, but many of the functions — listing and rating books, adding friends, posting comments to forums — seem similar to Goodreads.  However, BookArmy also takes your listed books (and ratings of them) and makes recommendations based on those.  The site is still in beta and therefore working out its quirks, but I’ll be interested to see how it develops.  At the moment, I’m a little overwhelmed by it and think I prefer Goodreads’ cleaner platform, but I plan to spend a little more time exploring — maybe I’ll come to appreciate the additional features.  Because, you know — I don’t spend enough time online talking about books.

If you’d like to explore with me, feel free to add me as a friend — just search for bookhopping.

  1. Thanks for sharing! I’m with Goodreads too, but I’ll have to explore this.
