looking forward

I’m currently in the middle of more books than I’m willing to admit to, but that doesn’t mean I’m not looking forward to starting others.  I was reviewing my library hold account today, and it looks like two books I’ve really been excited about, The Help and The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society, should both be finding their way to me shortly.  I don’t know much about either, but I’ve heard a lot of positive buzz about both.  And based on the length of the waiting lists at the library, they’ve been in pretty popular demand — which means I’ll be needing to drop everything else to get through them since I probably won’t be able to renew them.

In other exciting news for my to-read list, Sarah Dessen’s newest book Along for the Ride came out last week and Jennifer Weiner’s newest novel is coming out in a couple more.  I actually have a copy of Along for the Ride sitting in my house right now.  I preordered it for my sister’s birthday and haven’t had a chance to hand it over to her yet — but I’ve been explicitly told that reading it before I give it to her is not an option.  Hopefully, borrowing it after she’s done with it is.

What are you looking forward to jumping into soon?

  1. I just put Along for the Ride on hold at the library, so hopefully it will be waiting for me when I get back from vacation. I didn’t know about Weiner’s newest novel, thanks for the heads up!
