beach books found

In my ongoing effort to distract myself from the fact that I’m not actually on vacation yet, I’m continuing to prepare for said vacation. Last night, this meant a trip to Half-Price Books to stock up on beach reading material.

For most traveling, I might pick up a couple of library books or make sure my nook was well stocked with e-books.  But figuring that I’ll be reading in close proximity to water and sand — and not really wanting to expose my nook to those elements — I feel totally justified in buying three new (used, actually) paperbacks:

Previous experiences with Green and Keyes have shown them to be great vacation-y reads — light, quick, funny. I haven’t read anything previously by Sara Zarr, but she’s been on my list to get to for quite some time; I’m optimistic that she’ll be another YA writer worth returning to.

  1. Can I have your Marian Keyes when you’re done?
